La Traviata at the Bayerische Staastoper
Keri-Lynn Wilson returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper to conduct La Traviata this June, a result of the sudden reopening of theaters in Germany. Ms Wilson had been scheduled to conduct Rigoletto there earlier in the season, but those performances were cancelled during one of the pandemic shutdowns. Ms. Wilson most recently conducted La Traviata at the Bolshoi earlier this month. The three performances in Munich, scheduled for June 16, 19 and 22, feature soprano Ailyn Pérez in the title role. This production of La Traviata, a Staatsoper audience favorite, was originally directed by Günter Krämer with set design by Andreas Reinhardt, costumes by Carlo Diappi, and lighting by Wolfgang Göbbel.
Limited tickets go on sale June 14, and strict safety measures will be implemented for audience members.
