9/11 Memorial Concert

Maestro Wilson begins her 2021/22 season with the opening concert of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic’s 81st season. A special performance commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Ms. Wilson conducts a program in homage to the victims: Mahler’s “Adagietto”, Penderecki’s “Resurrection” piano concerto, and Corigliano’s song cycle, “One Sweet Morning”. Her soloists are pianist Mūza Rubackyte and mezzo-soprano Justina Gringyte.

As a proud New Yorker, Maestro Wilson lived through the attacks and is honored to be conducting this tribute to its victims.
